The preparations
A delicious Sunday roast doesn’t have to be complicated and I’ll show you that with this simple meat dish. The first step is to take care of the preparations. The onion, the garlic cloves, the celery and the carrot make the beginning. These ingredients are peeled and cut into coarse pieces. Once that’s done, the next thing to grab is the leeks. The leek is also cut into coarse pieces and right after that, the leek also needs to be washed thoroughly.
After the vegetables are already prepared, the meat preparation continues immediately. The first step is to season the meat with salt and white pepper. Once the meat has been seasoned, the roast pork must be coated with mustard on all sides. After this is done, put all the other ingredients at hand and you can continue with the simple preparation.
Preparation of juicy roast pork ham
The first step is to heat the clarified butter in a roasting pan. When the clarified butter is hot enough, the next step is to sear the roast ham on all sides.
After browning, take the roast pork out of the pot again. Then the previously cut ingredients are sweated. During the sautéing, add some tomato paste. When the sautéing is finished, deglaze with the roast stock. Immediately afterwards, the roast pork and ham are added to the pot. Once the roast pork is back in the pot, add a good pinch of marjoram and a bay leaf. Once all the ingredients are combined in the roasting pot, the Sunday roast must be cooked over medium heat for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
When the cooking time is over, remove the meat from the pot. Then cut the meat into slices. After the meat is cut, prepare the gravy.
The first step is to strain the gravy, which is still in the pot, through a sieve over another pot. Once this is done, the sugar beet syrup is added. In addition, the sauce must be thickened with sauce thickener to his own taste. Once this is done, the sauce is seasoned with salt and pepper. Then the meat is added to the sauce. Once all the ingredients are combined in the pot, the ingredients are cooked again for 2 – 3 minutes. Then you’re done and the Sunday roast can be served.
